Samba Espirito
The 3R Foundation recently awarded £131 to Samba Espirito for two banners, flyers and posters to help promote Bay Drumfest 2026.
Samba Espirito is a not-for-profit, inclusive community group for adults aged 18+, bringing people together to learn, create and perform vibrant samba reggae drum music in a friendly and welcoming environment.
The group regularly gives its time to support local charities and community events, performing free of charge at events including St John’s Hospice Moonlight Walk and CancerCare’s Santa Dash.
In September, Samba Espirito is organising Bay Drumfest, a volunteer-led community drumming festival celebrating local talent and the fantastic setting of Morecambe Bay. The free event will feature drummers, dancers and entertainers, all giving their time voluntarily, alongside free drumming workshops for people of all ages.
The 3R grant funded two promotional banners together with printed flyers and posters, helping the group spread the word, attract visitors and encourage as many local people as possible to come along and get involved.
As well as creating a lively day of music and dance, Bay Drumfest aims to boost community wellbeing, bring people together and attract more visitors to Morecambe and the Bay.
It certainly sounds like it’s going to be a noisy one – in the best possible way!
The 3R Foundation funds grants like this through the Recycle, Reuse, Rehome charity shop in Carnforth (next to Tesco).
Every purchase in the shop helps fund grants for local charities, clubs and community groups across North Lancashire and South Cumbria. Please support the shop so we can continue helping even more organisations in our area.
